ABOUT
Israel is saturated with defense industries, with dozens of companies incorporating components in the field of Bowden cables. The field of Bowden cables is a niche in the wire rope manufacturing industry and has unique characteristics and knowledge. A.B.C. Engineering is a company in its infancy but nevertheless is a leader and pioneer in knowledge in experience and service in the field of Bowden cables.
With a Bowden cable, forces and movements can be directed from a drive to a remote mechanism. The best known example is a bicycle brake. By pressure on the handbrake lever, the Bowden cable is pulled in the lever direction. This movement is extended to the brake, which is located directly on the wheel. The force with which the brake is closed depends on the pressure on the handbrake lever. Ideally, the Bowden cable continues to transmit these unchanged in the strength of the force.
